This site used to be called “Highchairs and Headaches,” and I’m returning after a bit of a pause (only six years, nbd), to talk about my life again in case anyone wondered whether I was still alive.
The new name is growing on me and I hope you like it too. Apparently I can’t get enough of h-themed alliteration. But honestly, “Headphones and Hormones” pretty much sums up my life as a single mom of two teenagers perfectly.
If your kid went from mommy’s little angel to a middle school menace with whom you only communicate via text (even in the same room), you get it. And apparently perimenopause is a thing, so there’s that. I should have enough material to last me at least until “Hot Flashes and Hibernation.”
