About Me

My name is Jeannine.

Here’s a little bit about me:

I’m a mommy.  My son, we’ll call him Little M, is seven years old.  He loves dinosaurs and sharks, has an amazing sense of humor,  is super affectionate, and occasionally throws rocks at his classmates.  My daughter, Little D, is four years old. She’s an adorable combination of angelic and insane, and if you ever meet her you will immediately fall under her spell. Everyone does, it’s inevitable. Oh and her beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes has led my husband to believe I’m closer with our UPS delivery guy than I let on.

I’m a wife.  Big M, my husband, is a bigger kid than our son.  He DVR’s cartoons, can easily kill seven straight hours on his PS3, and is NO JOKE when it comes to LEGOs. But I love him. And he loves me.  I know he does because I recently crashed our  SUV into a really big rock in the driveway and he let me live.

I had my first child at 25.  I know this is a pretty ripe child-bearing age to many, but I sometimes wonder if I should have waited a bit longer for kids. Turns out birth control is only 99% effective. Oh well.  Being caught slightly off guard by motherhood has left me pretty vulnerable to making mistakes; some funny, some not so much.  But I wouldn’t change anything I’ve done for the world.  Well, most of it.  I’ve love this wild journey of starting a family, and I hope you enjoy my crazy tales as I make my way blindly through!

  1. I had my daughter at 23! We are the baby mommas for sure, all for mom friends are at least 10 year older than me. 🙂 I think it makes you grow up really quickly though–and we will definitely be the “cool” moms when they are teenagers. 😉
